Happy Thursday, friends!
We are so excited to be a part of a fun party today. If you’re joining us from Finding Home, welcome! Our friends at The Handmade Home wrote these amazing art books and compiled one of a kind pieces into a handy tear-sheet collection. I’ve used them in loads of spaces these last several months: in my mom’s pool house makeover, in my friend Lisa’s office makeover, in Grayson’s room, and in Julie’s bedroom makeover.
They are magic in a frame, I tell you.
When they challenged us to use their books in a fun and creative way (we could use the papers in any way minus placing them in a frame), I was in. I love, love all the whimsical art, and I immediately knew that I’d do something simple and fun with the kids.
We made a few simple handmade ornaments from some Handmade Home art. 😉
We were creating a fun, whimsical tree at the shop, so we decided to deck the tree with our little creations.
Most were very simple cutouts, but we got crafty with a couple.
p.s. just cut strips and attach the pieces together with some glue dots. bend paper as needed. easy peasy.
And some are just fun as is…
We added a little glass glitter to a few edges to make them festive and sparkly for little Ava.
She likes everything better with a little sparkle.
And I think it’s so, so important to remember during the holidays that extravagant doesn’t necessarily mean special. These little moments, crafting something seemingly small, those are the things we’ll remember.
While it’s a bit early for Christmas decorating, I hope this simple little project encouraged you to have fun with your people this Holiday season, and to cherish the handmade. P.S. If you haven’t checked out Jamin and Ashley’s books, go do so now!
To continue the tour, go see my friend, Emily, at Jones Design Company.
Love this idea! I think I’m going to make these with the twins. You are amazing and it was so awesome to get to see you again at Chapel Market. 🙂
Happy day friend!

Thank you, sweetie. It was wonderful to see you, too, and I only wish I had more time to spend with you and catch up. That weekend is such a blur lol. 🙂
