I bet you wondered if you would hear from me today.

It is out of my norm to post on a Saturday, but we did take on this 31 days together, right?

It’s the end of week one, and we are dragging a little.  Or at least I am.  3 days of all-day painting/scrubbing/decision making will wear a mama out.

It will be totally worth it in the end, and honestly, it’s coming together quicker than I imagined.

We were able to get the entire right wall (30 + feet) torn down to the brick and it looks amazing!  We decided against cleaning all of the brick with acid as we like the dirty/washed brick look better than shiny red ones.  We also FINALLY got the built in cabinets painted (fill you in on that soon), and mostly finished half of the large one.  We started painting trim and around the doors and windows, and that looks great, too!  Don’t worry, pictures coming very soon on each project.

We also decided that we should tear down the ceiling.  #canofworms

We ripped up the carpet in the window spaces, and you can see a peek of the floors we found underneath in the pic above.

I also realized how addictive McDonald’s sweet tea is.
