Good morning, you lovely people!
My friend Ashley and I kicked off another Present Family installment this week. This Christmas has been all about simplifying and spending more time with our kids.
We simplified our decorating, and fell in love with our advent tree, picking a new activity each day.
The kids and I also fell in love with this picture on Pinterest…marshmallows as snow!
Come on, now, y’all.
It doesn’t snow in Alabama.
We are craving some snow around here, so the kids and I sat down to create our own.
All you need is a needle, some twine, and LOTS of marshmallows.
As a matter of fact, do not convince yourself this will be an afternoon project.
Things get sticky really fast.
Kids lose interest when their hands get too sticky.
What can I say.
I was distracted by the bokeh and the jadeite cup of marshmallows.
The wall of snow marshmallows is going to be more of a winter project.
Ongoing.
Stay tuned.
Oh my goodness so cute and sweet! Love the marshmallow snow!
eh no..The thought of food sitting out like that makes me uneasy. I have dogs and cats–not practical for me. It does look nice and festive though
Love the snowy marshmallows. We are from TN but just moved to the midwest last year. We decided not to travel back down South for Christmas, and wouldn’t you know it… this is the warmest Christmas they have had in Iowa in 6 years. NO SNOW this year. They call it a “Brown Christmas.” Hah! Still praying for snow though:)
You are adventurous! I once had the great idea to bake cookies from scratch with my kids…If their help lasted 10 minutes I would be shocked! So I got to be the one to finish baking and cleaning, but never got to eat the cookies…The kids devoured them almost as soon as they came out of the oven!! 🙂 So good for you to try a project like stringing marshmallows. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
OH. EM. GEE. look at you, lil miss anthropologie?! I LOVE IT! hahaha awesome.
I’m with the kids on the sticky fingers! Maybe try white packing foam curls or flakes?
YES, Jeannine..won-derfulll idea using the packing materials-why didn;t I think of that!!!
I think you could do the same thing with pieces of cotton balls too.
Hello Im an interior designer based in London and looking for a Marshmallow snow garland. Do you sell them? do you know where can I buy them? Thank you very much
How did you hang that?
