Some news I’ve been sitting on for a while…we are having our first Creative Exponent Retreat this October in Watercolor, Florida!
We always wanted to plan a creative retreat (preferably in Europe), but our plans shifted as the world did over the last year and a half. Now that we are able, this retreat is planned stateside and I literally cannot wait.
We both love planning our own creative retreats, so the thought of inviting you all to come along with us and spend some time energizing ourselves….gold.
Watercolor sits on Highway 30A, and I’ve been to the area multiple times…it’s one of my favorite quaint beach spots, rich with plenty of privacy but lots to experience.
The goal is for this retreat to feel like what one of our own creative retreats would. Lots of creative play, some creative business, and plenty of time to explore and be inspired.
In looking for a house(es), I wanted us to have a place to spread out for workshops, but also feel like we were together when we were sitting around with a glass of wine chatting.
To answer a couple of frequently asked questions so far:
Do I have to own a business to attend?
Nope. While we will cover topics in our morning workshops, we will leave business talk to the optional afternoon times or leave plenty of room for one-on-one time to talk business/vision. I want this retreat to feel like our podcast does…for the creative and the creative business owner.
What’s the general vibe and pace of the retreat?
You can find a general itinerary here on our retreat page, but the short answer is: creative workshop time in the morning, free time in the afternoon, dinner together in the evening. The creative workshops are relaxed and meant to inspire and let you play…think iPhone photography/editing, playing with paint, and Q & A time with us. We want to set intention around your day, and encourage you to rest, explore, enjoy the pools steps away or the beach or you could spend the afternoons planning for your business…whatever will make your trip feel creative and restful!
What all is included in the price of your ticket?
Whew, it’s a lot. The list is long, and you can definitely read an itemized list on our website, but your spot includes all lodging, meals and snacks (prepared by a private chef & culinary entrepreneurs), wine and beverages, workshops, a beautiful retreat workbook (should you choose to work through it), access to the private beach club and pools, one month’s access to The Creative Exponent Community, all the networking and friendships you’ll build, plus some fun surprises for you (we want to keep a few things secret)!
