You know my everlasting addiction to paint, right?
When I found the new Chip It tool by Sherwin Williams, I could hardly wait to show it to you!
It’s a Pinterest based idea of sorts–you add a Chip It! button to your bookmarks, and BAM.
Chip any photo you come across in the www.
I am hopelessly in love.
Sherwin Williams paints are some of my favorites (I love their ProClassic line), and I absolutely love working with my local store…so this extension is pretty fabulous.
I’m noticing the tool mostly picks up base colors in the palette, but if a pop of color is prominent, it will chip that too.
I could spend days & days doing this–plus, like so many great sites out there, it’s going to chip away (get it?!?) at the paint color selecting.
I just had to try a room from my friend, Kate’s, house.
All of your Chip It’s will be saved at the site, like you see right here. You can create boards & your image source will be saved, too. (P.S. that’s where you can find all of my images sources, too–there and on Pinterest.)
Pretty spectacular, right?
Give it a try–my bet is you’ll be completely addicted.
Speaking of spectacular addictions, the Cottage Coastal giveaway winner is #106, Jennyroo, who said, “What a gorgeous website! I love the Sugarboo designs so much, especially the Pink elephant and the ‘My Heart Has Become a Flower’. Just amazing…. thanks for sharing!”
Congratulations, Jenny! Email me at shaunna@harristire.com to claim your Sugarboo pillow!!
Hope you guys have an exceptional weekend–feel free to chip and pin your hearts away.
Oh No! Another tool to feed my Pinterest addiction! Love it!
Oh my goodness that is sooo cool !!! I can’t wait to play around with it !
How cool is that? I Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Hey girly! My big sis Kim sent me over here and I’m so glad she did :)! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m familiar with other color palette generators but I wanted something that created palettes similar to Design Seeds. Nicely done Sherwin Williams! Thanks for sharing.
This is the coolest thing ever! We decided against buying it, but not long ago my husband and I looked at an old farm site. The original woodwork was unpainted. It reminded me of an old wine cellar. I am descended from the man who propagated the Beta grape, so grapes and wine have been constant themes in my decorating. I immediately went to work using easyrgb.com to com up with a color scheme. It took me forever. Oh, how I wish that little house we looked at was 15 or 20 miles closer to my husband’s job and not on a minimum maintenance road (read not plowed in the winter).
Oh my gosh this is so neat. I’m heading over there now to start clipping 🙂 Thanks for sharing .
Ohh Man, that is soo cool! Cant wait to try it!
Fantastic!..Now I’ll be on Pinterest 24/7!
This is exactly the tool I’ve been waiting for! I love Sherwin-Williams paint, too. Thanks for sharing this!
Fantastic!!
I am trying to use this, but it is hit or miss with my pins on Pinterest. I will click on a photo, copy the URL from the top tool bar, put it in Chip It, and it gives me several images to choose from, BUT, the image I wanted to use is not neccessarily in the group of choices! Are there special qualifications for pictures allowed?
Help anyone?
Thanks!
Hey Elizabeth! I dragged the Chip It button to my bookmarks bar so all I have to do is click “Chip It” and select the image to chip. Using the chip it button, it’s just like pinterest…and I’m able to chip pins, too. I hope that helps some!
🙂
