After a little thought, I decided my homie, Layla, deserved a post dedicated to her awesome linky party. Head over there to check out her favorites of the year and more blogland makeovers!
And since I just wrote about my favorite room re-do in my Favorite Projects of 2010, I think I’ll just let the photos (some new ones, too) of the Writing Room and Bath do the talking for me.

So beautiful!!
You know I love those rooms!
Absolutely breathtaking! Oh my…..can you come to my house?!
This room is absolutely stunning! I am trying to incorporate more white into our house, and you have just given me the push to get started, so thank you for the inspiration 🙂
Amazing! I love how you used every nook and cranny. It's got me wondering if I could squeeze a little something something into my unfinished attic space…
Fabulous! I loved the daybed and the story behind it.
LOVE it, of course. Hope you guys had a wonderful christmas-let's catch up soon!!! 😉
Wow, those are some stunning transformations! And the finished spaces are wonderful, so fresh and uplifting!
Wow..your blog is marvelous and your photography skills impeccable. Happy New Year to you.
"Please sir, I want some more"
It's beautiful, Shaunna! I love all the white!
Oh so fabulous!!
Wow. Just coming across your blog from clicking here and there and everywhere and I'm very impressed.
Oh mu goodness– What a difference- I love your new room. I would love to do this to my attic- how did you go about it ? Did you hire someone-
Truly inspiring! So beautiful!!
I'm new to your blog but just love everything about it so far… your style is amazing!! I have a question though… I saw the birch tree painting above the daybed for sale long ago at Target and fell in love with it. I went back the next day to get it and it was gone, never to be seen again 🙁 I couldn't find it online either! Do you happen to know who the artist is or what the title of the painting is? It's become my long lost love object lol and this is the first time I've seen it anywhere since that day at target 🙂 Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! – Krysten
I adore this room. SO very beautiful! Every aspect is impeccable!
What an amazing space . . . and mostly because it’s clearly true to who you are, and what you love. I also love the birch artwork above the bed, and would love to see a closer shot of it. (Along with artist info, if possible–lovely!) I’m also curious what type of flooring you used. I’ve searched your blog, but can’t seem to find a reveal post with details about the space.
Once again, great job. It looks fantastic!
Just saw this over at PW and had to come get more views. This is so inspiring!!
Thanks for stopping by, Maria!!

oh my loveliness <3
Hi! Shaunna,
I also saw this room on the pioneer woman and wanted to see more views of it, just beautiful.I was wondering what type or finish of flooring did you use? Thanks
Hey, I was wondering if you made the wooden ledge the long canvas print is sitting on. I absolutely love it! It looks like it’s made out of driftwood, but I can’t really tell. I’m sure it would be easy to make, but I was just wondering where you found it.
So well done! We are close to making over our attic as a little girl’s bedroom…question for you: where did you put your stairs to gain access? Or do you just crawl up your attic ladder? =)
Thank you!!
Did you get an answer to your question about the stairs? I sooo want to do this but we have pull down stairs.
I adore this room, so bright and relaxing! I am so curious to know more about the flooring? Is is hardwood flooring, or some type of laminate? I LOVE the whitewashed look and want to incorporate it into my home!
this room is clean and simple, but if you look closely the embellishment on the mirror, table, and dresser is beautiful. what was your inspiration or thought in mind when you created this writing room?
Oh my word! WONDERFUL! Was this a ‘walkup’ attic before or a ‘pulldown’? If it was a pulldown, how did you convert it? Codes that were a problem? I WANT to do this!!!
Hey there…this was a walk-up attic. The stairs were in our garage and we built the house this way. We then enclosed the staircase and pushed our doorway out to include the stairs inside the house. So, no, not a drop-down. 🙂

Good day! This post could not be written any better! Reading through this post
reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept talking about this.
I will forward this write-up to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read.
Thanks for sharing!
