ODE TO A CHAIR
Almost passed you by,
But that tacky gold roping did catch my eye.
Your hideous upholstery and terrible paint job,
Pained me for you; I quaked with a sob.
But wait! There might be hope stirring in the air;
I just might save this gaudy chair.
It’s definitely the ugliest upholstery I’ve ever seen,
But honey, when I’m through with you, you’ll be fit for a queen!
Happy Friday
