I can honestly say that the last few weeks have flown.  There’s so much going on at the shop & homeschooling and we’re in the middle of soccer and there’s talk of pop-up shops, and the Chapel Market is next weekend.  Needless to say, I’ve missed blogging regularly, but occasionally, something has to go to make room for life.

We’ve been gearing up for The Chapel Market and can’t wait to get there!  This week, I’ll show you all we’ve been working on and some previews of the things we’re taking.

First up, a previously crusty, nasty old rocking chair…

I wish I could find the before pic, but I think it’s stuck somewhere on the mysterious Cloud.  Anyway, I sanded it lightly with a sanding block to remove the peeling veneer on the wood.  I then gave it two coats of Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Ironstone, and sealed it with Furniture Wax.

The wood was so raw that it just soaked up all the milk paint, so I sanded it with a medium grit sanding block to wear the paint away and distress it.

It’ll be available at the Chapel Market next weekend, and so will all of our reclaimed vintage canvas bags (pictured above).

Stay tuned, more reveals coming…
