25 Things–it’s been a while

1.  We Bought A Zoo is a magical movie experience.

2.  I learned something important from watching it.  ”Why not?”

3.  I’m convinced my daughter gets her swimmer’s lungs from her ability to chug 20 ounces of milk without a breath.

4.  She’s more of a drinker than an eater.

5.  You know what I mean.

6.  I miss my grandmother.

7.  I’m resting in the knowledge that I’ll get to see her sweet face again.

8.  We’re officially back on the organic eating.  Life got crazy and hospital stays abounded, but we’re back on the wagon.

9.  I feel better already and it’s only been 2 weeks.

10.  I do have a love affair with arugala, shaved parmesan, & lemon juice.

11.  I know, I’m weird like that.

12.  The search for the perfect studio space is on.  One minute I’m in, and the next minute I’m scared to death.

13.  I’ve missed posting spontaneously.

14.  This is spontaneous.

15.  I had the tart yogurt at 32 degrees the other day.

16.  It was strangely delicious.

17.  Thank you, Sara.

18.  All of your comments on the writing room made my week.

19.  You know how sometimes you  say, “I did laundry all day!” and you really did it for an hour and a half?

20.  I actually did it all day.

21.  Okay, 2 and 1/2 hours.

22.  I’ve worn my perfectly imperfect t-shirt 5 out of the last 6 days.

23.  They’re really cute–should I sell them in our online store??

24.  I keep thinking it’s normal to wear your branded tee and yoga pants everyday.

25.  I think I’m in denial.

I enjoyed your random thoughts—laundry is overwhelming and even if you do it all day you still feel behind on it! I would love to make the transition to organic-summer is the best time for it. I would LOVE a perfectly imperfect tee :) it speaks to so many things in life!

    LOL. I really, REALLY did laundry all day the other day; summer hits, and because my husband is a school teacher and has summer vacation, I feel like I should to! HOLY COW! You should see my house!! Terrible, I tell you. Terrible. During my marathon laundry day, I thought “I can’t let this happen again!” and yet I have. Must face it. {face palm}
Can’t wait to see that movie, and now I’m craving parmesan.
And you should sell your shirts!!
(oh, and my sweet grandma went to be with Jesus a couple of months ago; I imagine she was there to welcome yours!!) :)

Girl, laundry is my nemesis. It is the thing I struggle most with. I would rather do any other chore 10x over than do laundry. LOL I paid my daughter to do my laundry last week, it took her 7 hours. Yes I have that many clothes and towels where I could not wash for several weeks (which apparently I did, but I had a good excuse for last week as I was at your workshop ;)

Don’t be scared about a studio space. God will show you the right time and place. Yet, fear is not of God.

I’m excited for you and I love all your pins on shop space inspiration.

    T-shirt idea sounds awesome!

I eat my salads with just lemon juice (but I prefer a kale, spinach, lettuce mix & no cheese.) I always get funny looks at restaurants when I say ‘no dressing, just a few lemon slices.’ People have no idea what they’re missing.

Also, I love doing laundry. LOVE it. Sometimes I re-wash towels just because I feel like doing laundry and I’m out of dirty stuff. :P

    1. I love my tshirt and wear it lots, too!

    2. You and Matt are my favorites because you sent me my hairdryer back!! I even forgot to ask you to, you wonderful pair :)

    3. Try not to imagine what my hair has looked like since I left it at your house.

    There’s my 3 :)

    • Anna@agoodhome August 9, 2012 at 8:25 am #

(The “it” in #3 being the hairdryer, not my hair. That would have been super weird.)

I began a schedule many years ago to brush my teeth and then put a load of laundry in, I dry them and then after lunch, during quiet time, I fold. One day it’s lights, the next day darks. Takes very little time to fold because the loads are reasonable size. Good luck!

I find myself reaching for the same t-shirt and short over and over again.

  18. rosann August 9, 2012 at 12:58 pm #

Love everything you post… you are so awesome, I would not hesitate about the Studio, everything you guys set out to do or have done has been successful, so please
doubt your ideas. Follow your inner voice.

I am sorry to say, I must have missed when you showed your T-shirt. Why not sell them and if you can’t make for the larger sized women, maybe an iron on, so I can put it on my favorite shirt and tote.

The laundry thing cracked me up!! I have found myself trying to justify what I did all day and saying the same thing!!! Because it feels like it does take all day! Loved the random thoughts! Definetly sell the t-shirts!! Must share a funny story!! ( I’m the one whose A.S. order had the melted wax in it)…Well same said wax…yesterday, early morning before it got hot…was out on driveway waxing some furniture..came in for a break..sun moved over the trees..wax was melted..while trying to pick it up..dropped on my driveway..and all over my bare feet!!! I think this particular can has some kind of strange voodoo on it!!!! Your readers will be glad to know that the wax stains concrete very nicely!!! Feet ..not so much.. still scrubbing on them! .Still laughing about it!!!

You are so funny. I love your 25 things posts they always make me smile. I think you should sell your t-shirts in your online store. I know you will be fine with the studio space. One of my favorite quotes is “sometimes the only available form of transportation is a leap of faith”

  25. Kristie August 11, 2012 at 5:29 am #
