Well, I’ve been working furiously the last week.
I should have been working furiously for 3 weeks. But alas, that swollen throat syndrome took me out for 7 solid days.
It’s been a while since I’ve shown you my space at Troy Antiques–these are photos from last summer.
But this weekend is TroyFest–a fair celebrating all things handmade. While I won’t have an actual booth, the shop will be open and it’s right on the square in downtown Troy.
The show will draw around 10,000 folks over the 2 days, which is quite a lot for this small town.
I’ve been beefing up my space, painting furniture and odds and ends alike.
I’m also working on something extra special to put in the space that I CAN’T WAIT to tell you about.
I’ll be there all day working my space & browsing all the handmade-goodness. It will be an amazing fair so if you live close-by, do come down/over/around and say hello! I’ll have a little something for my blog readers–so do drop by! If I can become super organized, I will try to share some pics of pieces that will be there this weekend.
Back to the painting room–
ohhhh, that looks like so much fun!! I truly hope to do something similar someday, just in the dreaming/planning stages right now! Good luck and have fun!

Oh Shaunna, I feel your pain! I have my first show of the season in 2 weekends. I have been painting like a madwoman, but yet I still have so much left to do! If we drink a case of RedBull so we can stay up all night painting, do you think it would have an effect on our painting? Lol! I’m tempted to find out…
Have a great weekend and sell lots! Can’t wait to see the pics!

Lol, lol. Yep, or in my case, 16 cups of coffee per 3 hours. I’m excited–I decided to participate big-time just last week, so I’m NUTS! Can’t wait to see yours either!!

We are coming to town for a baseball tournament this weekend. When I found out we were playing in Troy, no lie, the first person I thought of was you! I hope to drop my son at the field for pre-game warm ups and head into town to check out your shop. You are so amazingly talented.
Sounds awesome, Donna!!! Thank you for your sweet words!

Thanks Tonya! I’ll try to take bunches. 😉
Sure wish I’d known about you and your space (not to mention your blog!) when we libed in Montgomery — I would so have looked you up at your antique space! Sounds fabulous!
The window fronts are beautiful. I wish I lived close. You are always so inspiring!
I just love your blog it’s so inspirational, check out mine too. For I am a Southern Lover, http://thecottagefarmhouse.com…
Sweet little towns with antique shops like that are my favorite! Have fun! Can’t wait to see more of your projects!
Not to seem ignorant but what state is Troy in?
I was wondering the same thing & couldn’t find the info anywhere on your blog, what state is Troy in?
Hey Lindsay, Sorry–sometimes I forget. It’s in Alabama.

I’ve been mia from reading and visiting blogs for about a week or two….and geez louise, I check in with you and you have a spot in a store and your selling paint! WHAAAA? Man, you’ve been busy! I’ll tell ya, being a ASCP stockist is soooooooooo cool! Good luck with your space in the antique shop. Hope you sell lots!
All the best for a wonderful weekend!
I noticed there was a white painted picture frame in your space. Love it. Someday can you provide a tutorial on frames? What you look for, how you get rid of the backing, do you provide hardware for hanging?
Thanks so much!
I am coming over for a senior recital. I hope to stop by while my daughter is warming up just a little over a block away at Troy Methodist.
