I’ve been wanting to write this post for some time now. When my sweet friend, Lisa, from The Pennington Point and Shop24 asked my advice on painting her piano, I thought two things…
For one, she was certainly brave.
And two, right up my alley.
This version of Saturday Shout Out is more of a feature for her work!
Here is a snippet of her piano before….
And here it is in all of its new turquoise glory….
Oh. My. Goodness.
It is SO beautiful!! I absolutely adore the color. When I read this, inspiration had already struck for me to paint an antique chest turquoise….and then I saw this. Color inspiration affirmed.
Lisa used Olympic’s Alpine Valley…and this may very well be the color going on my chest of drawers this week.
She then sanded down to the wood in parts, and only to the primer in others. I especially love this technique on brighter colors like this…love the dimension it gives to a piece.
And let’s look at it again one more time…
Did you notice the beautiful styling?? I LOVE Lisa’s style, but more than that, I love her Faith and heart…you should definitely check out her blog!
Beautiful job, Lisa!! Thank you for all the inspiration!!
I read this on her blog awhile ago and loved it. She seems like such a nice lady.
Whoa! That is amazing! It looks so fabulous and I love her ampersand plate, haha! I have to get one of those.
That piano is amazing! I don't have room in my house, nor do I play, but wouldn't it be so fun to have a turquoise piano! {and wooohooo, I won! thanks so much!}
Wow…just gorgeous, now I have to go visit her blog. Love her style to just looking at the photo!
Gee it is so humbling. I appreciate your kind words. And I think you for your great tips on painting my piano. You're such a sweet friend. I am blessed to have gotten to know you and some of your precious readers! Thanks, Lisa~
Wow, The piano looks amazing! Love the color of the paint too. I will check out her blog now.
Excellent color…
Wow, it looks stunning. Did the wall behind get repainted or has the new piano colour just made it stand out? It looks fantastic.
Hi Shaunna, I love the piano is looks fabulous. What made me laugh though was the little 'forgive' sign on it. Is that 'forgive me for painting you'? 😉
Love Lisa's piano! Her blog is one of my new favs.
LOL! The "Forgive" sign is for the sound the poor piano makes when my four little piano students pound away practicing their pieces. Ha!
Congrats on the fabulous room! I was actually thinking of painting my room this color with Turquoise Most also from Olympic and to base my room from a beach vibe. Now that I know what the color looks like, I think I might still consider it. Thanks! 🙂
