Hello friends!
We’re still in a whirlwind after the airing of our Pilot, Sweet House Alabama, on HGTV this past weekend. Like we said yesterday, we can HARDLY thank you enough for your support. It’s been quite humbling, to say the least.
the Herndon’s living room/kitchen/dining reveal
We’ve gotten a lot of questions about the next steps, and while we don’t have any news for you yet, we do know if you enjoyed the show, using our hashtag on social media is the best way to show us some love and let the network know you were watching.
Just tag HGTV on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and be sure to use the hashtag #SweetHouseAL
Oh, and we’re working on our post to give you all the details on the house before & after, but in the meantime you can begin shopping a few items we used in the house! Just head on over to our Sweet House Alabama section for those of you who’ve asked.
Catch you tomorrow, friends.
Your pilot was G-R-E-A-T! Move over Joanna and Chip Gaines! Now I have two favorite design shows — Fixer Upper and Sweet Home Alabama. Soooo happy. You are an inspiration to all of us. Congrats!
Thank you for watching Cec!!!
I watched your show and loved it. Your hubby is a character. It seems that on many shows there is an unexpected problem to overcome and I guess that is a norm with older homes. You kept a sweet smile throughout it all. Looking forward to future shows.
Thank you for watching Rose!!
Being a HGTV lover, I will be a constant viewer on your new show. Congratulations on the new gig! How exciting.
Thank you Katie!! Sweet House Alabama will be back on Thursday May 14, at 11 EST. 🙂
I watched your show and thought it was great! I hope it’s a hit!
love and blessings~

Thank you Lynda!!!!
Hi Shaunna, loved your show. You an Matt are terrific. Can you tell me the maker of the table in lower right corner of the picture you have highlighted in this post.
Thanks and I look forward to many more of Sweet House Alabama episodes.
Hey Starr!
We actually got that piece at World Market. :)Thanks for watching!
I watch HGTV all the time. I missed the premiere of your show (sadly!), but I’ll be sure to turn in for the rest of the episodes.
Hey John!
They are re-airing the pilot Thursday, May 14th at 11 EST.
Any forecast when the next show will be on HGTV? Trying to set the DVR but your show doesn’t come up.
Thanks,
Rob
Hi there Rob!! We are unsure right now. The best way you can help us is by using #SweetHouseAL on social media! 🙂
Loved the show!! You guys are awesome! !
Thanks so much Tammy!! 🙂
What is the green/grey color that you used in the living room?
The Living Room color was Sherwin William Comfort Gray!
Sorry just watched a rerun of your pilot and definitely did not like the show. I have worked in the design field for 30 years and there are some things as a professional you don’t even take the time to laugh about. (WRONG COLOR GROUT/That was a design mistake that I would be embarrassed to admit. Get control of your people who are doing the project for you and quit acting so country. CHIP AND JOANNA GAINES you are not so quit trying to imitate them. I rate your pilot a 3!
shes from the south . Nothing wrong with a lil country.
I think is was a great pilot. And I watch chip and Joanna also.
It’s a similar type show but obviously not the same personalities and styles.
Looking forward to watching more episodes
Loved the porch swings by the way.
Phyllis a #3 ? Well that’s ok, the #3 is loved in alabama. Just ask any Nascar fan.
Gee!! We can’t all live in a magazine decorated home. I watched the show and ,I can’t wait to see more. I loved looking at the old homes with so much character. What I really liked is the fact that they saved as much as they possibly could of the details that make those homes so charming. I felt they worked well together. Too country? They are country. Give em a break. Stop judging. !!!
I have been following your blog for years and I get so much inspiration from it. I am so excited to watch you and your hubby in action! I recoded the episodes but we had a darn thunderstorm that knocked out the satellite service when you were shopping for antiques so luckily I was able to come over here and see the reveal! It is stunning, I can’t wait for the next episodes! You have my dream career!
Darn thunderstorms! We are hoping to be able to do more episodes but as of right now we are not sure.. so keep your fingers crossed. Thank you so much Amanda for your constant support, it means so much!
Loved your show! Caught the premier episode as a rerun on Thursday. Love the southern homes but living on the West coast it will be awesome to see the transformations on your new show. Hope it is a hit!
Many Blessings
Thank you Thank you!!
Watched your new show last night and absolutely loved it! Love the idea of saving old homes and bringing them back to life! Can’t wait for the next episodes!! Great job!
Thank you so much Norma! 🙂
Love, love, love your show! You two are a great, down to earth family that my husband and I can relate to. I’m also dying to move to Troy, AL and buy a historic home for you to renovate!
I also want to say how wonderful it is to see HGTV finally on the right course……..I’ve been waiting years for home improvement/renovation/decorating show that I can have my children watch with me. Sweet House Alabama is wholesome family entertainment for all ages. 🙂
Loved the show. My ancestors were from Troy. Looking forward to more.
I just watched the show and I am amazed! I need this kitchen layout and cabinet info. It is exactly what I have been looking for to give our contractor. Thanks so much for great inspiration!
I caught the re-airing of the pilot episode tonight, and I must say that I am hooked! My DVR is now set to record future shows! It is nice to see that my favorite channel of HGTV is taking notice of the southern charm that Alabama has to offer. I am also an Alabamian, and I cannot imagine living anywhere else! Congratulations on the show. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much Elizabeth! 🙂
I kept hoping you would do more with that fireplace. Not a fan of it at all, so ugly.
Watched your show last night and loved it! Just gave you a shout out on Insta –
Just continue to be your own person and do your own thing because people like me get it.
I stayed up late to watch last night! Wow, can’t wait for more! We are only a couple of hours from your store, I feel a road trip coming on!
Thanks Deanna! We look forward to see you! 🙂
My husband recorded your show on Thursday, June 4. We just finished watching it a little bit ago, and we both LOVED it! I really liked what you did in the master bath. We tried to find upcoming shows, but were unsuccessful. Would you be able to tell us when there will be another show, please? Thanks and blessings!
Thanks Liz!! I’m so glad you guys loved the show! At this time, we aren’t sure about future episodes. You can help let HGTV know how much you loved it by using #SweetHouseAL on social media. 🙂
Sorry to have missed your shows! Is there a schedule for rerunning any of them?
That is alright Jenny! As of right now, we have not heard about a rerunning date but as soon as we know I will be sure to announce it on Facebook 🙂
I loved the show! I hate I am just now getting on your site. We live in Alabama too and we are looking to buy. Do you fix up homes on a regular basis or was it just for the show? We have watched “Fixer Upper” and dreamed of someone like that in Alabama!!
Hi there Ashley! We do help fix up homes for our clients. We don’t get to do it as often as we would like but if you have a project in mind that you would like our help with feel free to give us a shout 334.482.0215
Hi Shaunna, I caught an airing of your pilot episode on a plane ride, of all places and LOVED it! I knew you looked familiar and then realized that I used to watch your chalk painting videos on youtube when I first started painting furniture! I love the personality y’all bring to the show, it’s very refreshing to see “real” people in the design field. The house y’all designed was PERFECT, so light and comfortable. I’m from the south east so this style and your accents speak to me 😉
I look forward to seeing so much more from you!
Loved your show! Recently purchased some porcelain plates from you they are beautiful. Praying that the HGTV finally gets it right and decides to move forward with your show. And a comment to Phyllis, what is your problem? You are VERY RUDE!
Please tell me you got the series. I can’t wait for it to start. Dying with anticipation. Aaa maybe Phyllis is jealous and rude. HGTV please pick up SWEETHOUSEALABAMA. Getting fixer upper fatigue. Good Luck SHA.
