I don’t want our blog to become all about the shop and what we’re doing and displays, but it sure is fun to share the things I’m most excited about.
Every season at market, my goal is to find the “gem.” We scour the three buildings for the one new line that will bring something new to the local or online market, or one I just can’t live without. I’ve been around business a long time, and honestly, there’s something powerful about trusting your gut.
We are introducing our Neighborhood Scents Candle Line…they are hand poured in the south by an awesome husband and wife team, and we could not be more proud to carry them in our shop and online.
The candles are 100% soy and have a 60+ hour burn time, and y’all. They smell amazing. I mean, really, really lovely. We had a blast choosing the first 11 neighborhood scents, and are even having a contest for locals to name the 12th. (Psst: be sure to drop in if you’re local and suggest a name for the 12th. if we choose your scent, you’ll win a $100 gift card)
So the candles are each named after local streets and spots, and I am PUMPED about the packaging and how much we will customize them. I almost didn’t list them online, but hey, they smell so great so I thought we had to share.
Plus, we’ll be creating limited editions as well, and we’re already working on new lines like an “all things Perfectly Imperfect” line, DIY line, and a 30A line. If you have a name suggestion, let me know in the comments–if we choose your name, we’ll give you a $100 gift card, too!
One of the coolest things about running a local business is working with local artists. This amazing chalk art was done by my sweet friend, Kristy Drinkwater of Counterpart Brand & Design…she did an AMAZING job, right??
Oh, and one more thing…
This is our signature candle, appropriately named Perfectly Imperfect. It’s made with Tuberose, Musk, and Patchouli, and it is one of the best scents I’ve ever come across. Perfect. They’re all listed online, so be sure to grab yours here.
Can’t wait to see any names y’all come up with, and don’t worry, we’ll at least be choosing one name from this post, so there will be a lucky $100 gift card winner, but I’m open to choosing up to 3 winners! Get naming, friends!!
Thank you for the sweet compliment, Shaunna! It was really fun to work with the whole team at Perfectly Imperfect. Great shop and fun people. 🙂
Confessions, Vintage West, Celebration, Reclaimed, Reflections.
My favorite scent, year round, is like a pine or Christmassy scent. You know the smell…like a fresh tree in your home!
Do you have a Plum candle? That would be nice.

How about My front Porch or A nap on the porch? Sounds neighborhoody. 🙂
Or Veranda Dreams! 🙂
What about Main Street, USA?
Hey! What about a “Dixie Darlin” scent (a girlie scent)… I think that would be cute!
….. or “Dixie Diva” ???

Tickle Me Sweet Tea, Prattville Peach Perfect, Southern Summer Sunshine or Nothin’ But a Dream!
Umm…how about Mockingbird Hill? Reminded me of the South.
Bama Blvd.
I’d love to see a “Purrfect” candle because I adore cats… but I have no idea what scent would convey furry, soft, and love, all wrapped up in a warm ball!
Bless Her Heart, Sunrise Mist, Dewey Morning, Winter Pansies, Vintage Violet
How about “Whisper”.
My Sweet Southern Belle
I love looking at a field full of sunflowers, so what about “Sunflower Fields”? I also like to grow flowers and vegetables so another idea I had was “Southern Gardens”. Love the idea!
Trojan Horse, Fried Chicken, and Bible Belt
“Beach House”
“Troy Cotton”
“Comfortable Blues”
“To Market, to Market”
Since a lot of you have had a long, cold winter, how about “Spring is in the air”
Spring is in the air
I have only been following your blog since a little while, but I’d say a candle line from the South should have Y’ALL in the name!! It always cracks me up to read that in your posts (I’m from Europe and I love the Southern accents here). Another idea that fits your style would be something like Ah.Ma.Zing (you can tell I don’t know how to do it haha), well you get the idea :-).
Oh, this one is just too obvious: Sweet Scent Alabama
Oh how I love candles and these look great.
1. Lemonade
2. Farmhouse
3. Rustic
Looking forward to seeing the new names.
Blessings,
Linda
My favorite scents are Pinon and evergreen (like a Christmas tree). Scent names: Old Times, Lyrical, Cotton on the Line, Southern Breeze, Outdoors Clean.
I saw the Murphree Street candle, and although it is part of the historic district, I feel left out:( (jk). We need either a West College Street or a Historic District neighborhood scent. Or, Simply Southern would do (maybe a fresh linen scent).
A beautiful day

Even if I don’t win….it was fun thinking about candles with these names! 🙂
Porch Swing would be a lovely name for a candle, I imagine a clean scent with a hint of freshly mowed grass and a floral note.
