I’m all off because of the holiday.
I’m walking around calling it Monday and thinking about how yesterday we didn’t even think about going to church. I’m thinking about how weird the day feels and how it’s one day closer to my book deadline.
Oh, and I can barely get out of bed…is that a holiday induced coma I’m experiencing? Nonetheless, I hope you all had an amazing Labor Day with your loved people and recharged for the week ahead.
Time away with this guy is filling to my soul. The drive up was filled with dream-acheiving talk, 5 year brand goals, homeschooling plans, and a certain buzz we feel about the future. Plus, we scored a decent picture of ourselves while we were out. #bonus
We were headed to Ikea (the closest one is in Atlanta and about 3 hours away) and scored an overnight trip. The time had come to gather the rest of the supplies for all of our book projects. I had a list a mile long, and we got pretty much every single item on the list. Speaking of…
We were about to pass out by the time we got out of there. A three hour stay in Ikea is not ideal. We were both sweaty, starving, and a shade cranky by the time we left.
With a HUGE buggy and furniture cart filled to the brim. And somehow it all fit into the car.
We couldn’t resist a little inspiration, so we popped into Anthropologie after eating a late lunch. We are very inspired not only by the look of Anthropologie, but the layouts, the thought out placement of product, the styled vignettes and moments as opposed to straight-up mercantile display…it’s just me and I love soaking up ideas and inspiration for our shop whenever I can visit. I’ll let the gorgeous pictures speak for themselves…
I also spent a good 30 minutes pouring over beautiful books. And then I’d feel guilty for not being at home writing my book, so I quit that.
As if we had any more room to spare, we made a flea market stop to pick up a few more goodies for The Chapel Market. Alas, this old postal cabinet didn’t make its way home with me. That $3200 price tag deterred me just a bit.
Oh, and Matt clearly doesn’t take the flea market as seriously as I do.
I love all those places to shop! I haven’t been to Ikea in a long time — 6 hours for me : (
Love this post! Next time you’re in Atlanta, give me a shout!
