Since I’m up to my eyeballs in paint (paint for my HUGE black hutch, to be exact), I thought today I would pop in to show you some furniture eye candy.
I keep a Pinterest board filled with furniture inspiration and these are currently at the top of my “wow moments” list.
Peacock Blue Dresser by DecorAdventures
Whether or not you know how to paint furniture, we can all appreciate these beauties.
Is it crazy I love furniture like some women love shoes?
I love shoes too, though.
Rustic Workspace by Maple & Magnolia
That must make me all kinds of high maintenance.
Edie’s Teal Beauty (Check out her WHOLE house, by the way!)
I’ve been swooning over this one for a couple of months now. See, I’m not choosy.
Nope, not picky at all.
Just like with my shoes (I like Toms and I like 4 inch heels), I’m not hard to please.
Furniture just makes me happy.
As would a pair of those chairs for the living room.
Gray Dresser by Natty by Design
We all know I’m obsessed with gray lately.
My hutch can attest to that–or, at least half of it can.
Card Catalog by Urban Farmgirl
I dream of furniture.
Especially card catalogs. Bring it on, 2012.
Bring me a card catalog.
What about you? Any furniture calling your name lately?
I started out the new year thinking how it would be nice to find a buffet and I lucked into one this weekend! Old, neglected and sad looking … just the way I like ’em!
Keep looking, some day your card catalog will come in ; )
BTW laughed out loud when I read “That must make me all kinds of high maintenance.”
Beautiful pictures. And I am totally dreaming of a card catalog too! Have been for awhile, they are hard to come by.
Love all of these! And the gray obsession continues for me as well… My nursery is gray, I’m going with gray accessories in my bedroom, and I’m hoping to paint a secretary given to me gray to go with my living room sometime this year! Love your blog too!
Shaunna, I think I’m just as obsessed with painting furniture as you are. I need to figure out where to put all the things I’m collecting – all is my guest room and we have no garage! My friend is giving me a matching bureau and drawers and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
i would love to stumble upon a card catalog too. a campaign dresser would be welcomed too.
Loving the rustic workspace and card catalog.
No, You are not the only one.. I love furniture way more than I love shoes. We have many of the same things pinned 🙂 Thankfully we have the skills to get a piece and paint it exactly the way we want it.
Shaunna! I am a regular reader of your blog and I was so surprised and happy to hop over to your blog today and see a picture of my home in your post! I too, am obviously obsessed with painted furniture. In fact, I have a thing for furniture in general, and shoes…your a girl after my own heart! Your not alone in your gray obsession either. I recently painted my dining room gray and I am in love! XO Sita
Hi Shaunna,
Oh my, wow, thank you for featuring my dresser, I’m smiling from ear to ear! I love furniture as well. Yes some women love chocolate and shoes {OK I love those too}, but furniture is WAY up there 🙂
Hope you have a great week!
Ack! Gorgeousness! I swoon along with you! Seriously, I have furntiture on the brain too, especially those beautifully painted details we adore so much! This morning I was just thinking to myself how much I want a big dresser in my living room in a fun color…. on the hunt!
xoxo

I’m pretty much a furniture freak myself. I’d much rather shop and hunt down a great deal on furniture than shoes (but I do love those too!) While painting in the garage all weekend, it dawned on my that I have more painting clothes than nice clothes! Love your furniture inspiration. I’m re-doing several pieces right now so it’s fun to see what’s out there.

Love the card catalog there. There is a HUGE map chest (like 5 feet tall & 4 feet wide) for sale at our local consignment shop for $800. It is beeeeeautiful! I’m totally lusting over it but I couldn’t afford it, let alone fit it into the front door of my house. So I must admire from afar.
Furniture makes me so happy too. Painted furniture to be exact! I was going around our house this weekend trying to figure out what could be painted next, well repainted next. Can’t wait to see that hutch!
Fellow furniture lover…..right here! 🙂 I’m always excited when I come across new items to pin. (Which I just did!) Love having Pinterest as a place to stash all that great inspiration!!
I guess I’m high maintenance too. Love shoes AND furniture. Right now I’m holding out.. trying to not even got shopping. I’m waiting until I hopefully buy a house soon!
I find myself repinning a lot of your inspiration- love your style! I hope you’ll check out my latest furniture project- dining chairs I recovered using stencilled dropcloth. 🙂 http://plumdoodles.com/?p=775
Omgosh…my husband laughs because as he watches TV…I am in the next chair Oooooing and Ahhhhing over furniture on Craigs List!
It’s a sickness.

I love all the pictures. I too was in the market for a card catalog. Lucky for me, my husband bought me an old one for a recent “big” birthday (not jewelry or a trip like so many others-greatly appreciated and big points scored because the card catalog was all I’d been talking about). I can’t wait to have it finished. It needs a top and a base and I’m not sure where to go with it. One thing’s for sure…someday it will hold lots of bottles of wine.
I’m with you! Card catalogs! Numbered drawers! Makes my heart go pitter-pat! You’d love the one I posted on my blog today!
LOVE that card catalog!
uhh yessss I totally get it (and I get shoes too)! I dream of ideas of how I want to paint furniture and then I just have to find the exact piece. I have 2 current ideas in my head so the hunt is on! Also, I look at furniture differently in people’s homes…noticing the lines, the legs, hardware, etc. more than I used to before this furniture passion too over.
I love all of the furniture that you featured! I love painted furniture and these are just all so pretty!
I’m with you…I have been looking for a card catalog for a year now…I found a beautiful one on an online auction, but it was half way across the United States:-( maybe I’ll get lucky in 2012.
LOVE it (and I absolutely LOVE Edie’s blog – that’s how I found your blog!!). I will have to email you a picture of my wooden card catalog we have sitting in our family room. Back when they actually had the metal knobs, etc. ::sighs::
This houses everything from glue sticks to phone chargers right now! Very functional 🙂
I need to restore it since, after rescuing it from a public school dump at 22 years old, I then painted it with Kilz and white paint (and then 10 years ago I might have painted the base/legs “batter bowl” green 🙂 )
So, 19 years later… thinking it needs a lil redo. 😉
Just want to let you know that I bought an antique tiger oak apothecary chest this summer.. Working on writing the blog post now.. You will NEED to check it out, it is one of my favorite purchases to date! Also, my sister has 2 big card catalogs from the college she works for, they took them out and sold them at auction about 10 years ago.. Got them super cheap, I think $25 each!! Wish I had the room in my house at the time to have gotten one! Argh…
I share a furniture obsession too, so this post was right down my alley. I am really enjoying your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration. May God richly bless your 2010!
Well, you know I’m similarly obsessed. And I can’t walk in 4 inch heels, so I’d have to go with furniture over shoes! Loving Mary’s card catalog and Natalie’s dresser…and the others as well. I could pin furniture all day long on Pinterest!
These are ALL so fantastic! And super inspiring!!!
hoo.. cool.. i like that stuff.. i am looking for that kind of stuff that can make easy for me to
put different ideas for my fitted bedroom furniture collection to help people regarding new trends in fitted
furniture.. so thanx for this info
