It feels so great to be home.  SO great.  If you follow on Twitter, you know that Matt and I took our youth to a conference in Tennessee.

Much of my weekend was spent here…

We had such a blast, although I’m convinced that much time in a 15 passenger van is good for no one. (note: check out those adorable Darby Drake earrings Lauren sent me!)

Before we left on Friday, I was able to take a few shots of a simple vignette (a.k.a. stuff I threw on the chest I’m storing inside our house).

Those items have all been piling up on the “in-waiting” chest the last week or two.  I walked by, glanced over, and I loved all of the texture and warmth, and the pop of green.  After cutting a few snips from the yard and a little arranging, I started snapping photos.

If the chest is going to sit in here, it might as well be pretty, right?

Do you recognize this art?  I met Dee of Red Letter Words at Blissdom and she is completely adorable! You can find her work online, but mine came from Eden’s store…she and her mom gave it to me for my birthday last week.  I’ve admired her work from afar for more than a year.  Needless to say, I was excited.

Another of these goodies that I’m gaga over is this vintage spool.  It’s the perfect book end.
Or random sit-about.  I love the tarnished metal and the patina of the wood.

Don’t have your own vintage spool?

You can make your own (shown above) like my friend, Beth, did.  Aren’t these fabulous?

Just bringing in a touch of nature has me craving springtime.
And this print has me craving rest for my soul.
Don’t you love that?  When design and chance meet and something you is created?
