It’s time for the most recent addition of FAQ’s.  When the site is moved, I’ll work on adding some new info to that section, so if you have a question, leave a comment on this post.(it’s also good to email me directly if you have a specific question)
One thing I’m thrilled about will be the new Community page, so while you’re in the middle of a painting project, you can log on and ask a quick question and you guys can help each other out, too.
That’ll be cool right??
I’m thinking of also starting a flickr group for you guys to add your painted/restored projects to.  I love the idea of having one huge resource to go to for inspiration, rather than searching the whole WWW.
On to the latest questions…
Where did your Christmas dishes come from?
Well, Cracker Barrel, guys.  Yep.  My mom bought them for me a few years ago.  I don’t know if there’s a way to find them now, but it came in a box set of eight.

What is the paint color in your guest room?
Valspar’s Misty Surf plus two pumps of white.
(I got cold feet at the last minute, okay?)

Where was Rare Bird Antiques that you girls shopped?
In Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
Lots of antique goodness all on Main Street.

Can you share more about your Family Rules Art?
I’m working on re-doing the whole project to give you guys a detailed pic tutorial.
Or…you can wait for me to find the file and post, and you can download it for free.
🙂
Where did you get the bar with hanging tins in your kitchen?
Ikea, baby.

Where did the “Birch Tree” canvas come from?
I bought it at Target on clearance for 9.99.  I haven’t seen it there since, and I’m not sure if it’s available online.

It was distributed by Target, so I’m not sure if you can find a canvas of it, but the artist’s name is Lisa Audit.
And, you can buy the poster print from Amazon and make your own.
(and no, I won’t make any money if you use this link 🙂

What color is the 1950’s chest painted?
Krylon’s Pebble in a Satin finish.  Antiqued with an ebony stain.  You’ll get to see me work on distressing and staining the piece in videos in the eBook.

Can you tell us more about the letters in your post The Letters of A Visual Life?
Well, they do originate in Clarksville, TN.  I haven’t read all the way through them, but it appears that a Miss Anne Bowlin was writing to either her betrothed or husband.
(I feel sort of grown up because I used the word “betrothed.”)
I’ll do some more digging on that for you.
Come back tomorrow for a lamp transformation!
🙂
