It’s here!!
And speaking of Christmas cheer, it was about time to infuse a little into our home.  As you know, I couldn’t decorate until after the Cottages and Bungalow’s shoot, so I’ve been dying to get some decorations up.
Since it’s late, we’ve decided to keep it simple this year, focusing on our tree, mantel, and a couple of simple tablescapes.  There’s going to be a cookie baking party with lots of toddlers here in a couple of weeks…we don’t need too much fancy this year.
And….since I CANNOT find the screws that go to our tree, I decided it was time to decorate the entry.
Wanting to let our turquoise chest shine, I stuck to a silver, white, and aqua palette, pulling pieces from the Winter Wonderland mantle.

It all started with the mercury glass stand that my mother-in-law gave me.  I could just see snow-covered pine cones piled up on it.
And I realize that colored, sparkly poinsettias can be quite wrong, but I like this one as a present topper.
🙂

Piling ornaments into a hurricane definitely adds some sparkle…and it seems like all the Christmas pulls out the sparkle in the glass hardware on the chest.

I love that the cone-shaped ornaments sit perfectly in our sconces.
I found this ornament at Walmart last week for $1….LOVE it.

That’s my bit of Christmas cheer for the day.
What about you?

Prizes will be revealed in the morning….but let me just say, it’s a big ol’ basket of me.  A bunch of stuff that I keep on hand and I love.  Think you will too.
