Alright, do you remember them?
This is how they looked just 9 days ago.
And here they are in their new home:
Don’t they (and the room) look marvelous???
I was able to deliver them to Nichole (hey, girl!) today and see her reaction. She loved them! I loved them at home, but when I saw them in her room, oh my….they looked wonderful in there, if I do say so myself. She was so kind and gracious and easy to work with, plus she has already referred her sweet neighbor Ashley, whom I met today (and I have two of her tables in the back of the truck)! What a doll!
Here are some more shots of them at my house before delivery today. (Because we all know I couldn’t have taken only one–or five shots of the tables.)
These tables were sanded, primed, painted white (thank you, Lord, for inventing the Wagner sprayer! My hubby got me one in time to spray the last table, and wow–love it!), then distressed and stained (barely grey) to age, and finally, sealed. Nichole wanted obvious distressing, so here you go…some close-ups:
I thought the finish turned out lovely–as a matter of fact, I was a bit sad to load them on the truck today. 🙂
If you have any specific questions about the treatment, please feel free to ask!
LOVE the lines on these tables…
And LOVE how they look in Nichole’s home!!
Doesn’t her sitting room look gorgeous? (Please, Matt, let me paint my walls!!!)
So, what do you think?? You guys saw them the day I grabbed them at the yard sale.
Did they live up to their potential?
Can’t wait to find out what you think!!
(I’m giving my feet a rest tonight- and maybe tomorrow-so maybe I’ll get around to each of you guys that have been commenting! Love to meet each of you–I’m slow, but I’ll drop in sometime soon! 🙂

shaunna,
Hi Shaunna…
They do look marvelous! Pottery Barn is calling you as we speak I'm sure! =)
They are just charming, Shaunna! I love the black hardware you added, too!
These look amazing! You did a great job!
I love it! Your babies went to a good home. :(
They are gorgeous! You did an incredible job. I would have had a hard time parting with them!
These are great. Do you sand them all the way down or do you even out the rough surfaces and give the old finish some "tooth"? The lions head handles are perfect.
They look absolutely AMAZING! well done!! So what is this wagner sprayer, being in Australia I havent heard of it? Do you prefer using a spray gun to painting with a brush? i do wonder about the finish being better.
Hi Shaunna…thanks for stopping by! Wow, you did a wonderful job!! I want a sprayer too!
Wow, absolutely beautiful! Great job, I'm a sucker for a distressed white table. ;)
These turned out great and the finish turned out beautifully!
So pretty! Thanks for linking up. 🙂
The tables, your home and the photography is all FANTASTIC! Great work!!! I'm visiting from A Soft Place To Land. I'd feel honoured if you had a chance to drop by and let me know what you thought of some of my makeovers.
ummmm….. simply divine.
They are indeed perfectly imperfect and work beautifully in your room. Very nicely done! Thanks for sharing at the Boardwalk Bragfest!
those turned out great! i love the hardware you chose to add- it was unexpected and a great choice to offset the curvy white.
I like the transformation!
absolutely beautiful! great job! I dropped in from Blue Cricket. Hope to see you back at my place soon! until later…
Love them. They look great in your room.
Those are gorgeous. You have an eye for a find!! It's just about yard sale season in the NorthEast. Yay!!
Beautiful! Just beautiful 🙂
Incredible. I see these all the time on craigslist! great transformation!
They look wonderful! I am just about to do the same with a couple of my end tables that have seen better days. Great blog! Found you through The Shabby Nest.
They turned out stunning! What beautiful curvy legs they have. You did a fab job!
I love the lines of those pieces as well and it's a great thing you found them as a set. I love the white paint and the distressed finish. Great job!
Hi Shaunna! I'm so excited to find your beautiful blog! You are a completely genius at refinishing furniture!! I'm hooked on it as well 🙂 I just need a little more time in my day (while the boys are napping) to do a proper job instead of a super-rushed, get-it-done-before-someone-wakes-up job ;)
I really like the tables you distressed. Is it correct that you put the barely grey stain over the white paint? How did you apply the stain? Also, what did you use to seal?
Nice work!
