Shop The Space

By |July 3rd, 2015|

Good Morning from the beach!

I’m sitting outside enjoying my morning coffee and wondering if I ever have to come home.

Do I??  Maybe nah.

We’ve been digging around for inspiration while gearing up to work on some projects both at my home and for clients…and we decided to start […]

Behind the Scenes with Matt

By |May 27th, 2015|

Boys will be boys.

That’s all there is to it.

So when we first decided to “re-invent” the back of PI, I knew Matt would be more than happy to come in and tear some things down.

As far as him helping us build some stuff for the back… the jury is still out!

Although let’s get real, anyone […]

Shop Talk | PI Re-Invented

By |May 27th, 2015|

Can you guys believe that May is almost over… yea me either. I guess its true what they say.

When you get older time just seems to pass by quicker than it did when I was younger.

I remember middle school thinking summer would never arrive..

Now I feel like I can barely get over my birthday before […]

Boy’s Room Reveal

By |May 14th, 2014|

I’m pretty sure I thought Matt was CRAZY when he decided to build Gray a fort bed & lay new flooring one week before Christmas.

After freaking out for a few minutes (or for several days) about the timing and the mess right before the holidays, I did decide to get out […]

The Handbuilt Home by Ana White & a Project

By |August 30th, 2012|

I’m so excited to share something with you…actually, I’ve been dying to share this for months!

A while back, we got a pretty exciting email.

We love Ana White, and her easy-to-follow free furniture plans on her fabulous blog.  When she asked if we would be willing to contribute a project […]

how to install faux wood paneling

By |July 26th, 2011|

I’ll be honest.

When we decided to redo our dining room, I was really thinking in my head, “oh, sure, we’ll just pop a little paneling up, build some built ins and a seat, build a table…you know, won’t be a big deal at all.”

It’s certainly been smooth sailing, fun […]

Kids X-Table

By |March 28th, 2011|

After we finished the playroom last year, we knew we would continue adding accessories and functional pieces over time.  We desperately needed a table for school work, and for Ava’s serious addiction to coloring.

Instead of buying one, we decided we would build our own.

Sneak Peek of the Kids’ Table…

By |February 17th, 2011|

Well, I couldn’t resist showing you a peek…

I got some exciting news from Ana White yesterday.  She wants to draw up some plans of our table and include them in the book.  (this is me secretly screaming “yay!!”)  In a calm and self-controlled voice, of course.
You’ll get to see the full reveal next week and […]

Our Version of the Kid’s X Table and Knock Off Decor

By |February 15th, 2011|

Well, friends, it seems the fabulous Beckie at Knock Off Decor featured my mercury glass vases yesterday.  Head over there to check her out!
And because I’ve added a new section to the book (aka I’ve never done anything so last minute in my life), to say I’m working overtime might be the biggest understatement of […]

How Doors Became Our Daybed

By |July 13th, 2010|

Alright, here it is.  Building the daybed in its tedious details.
You guys were so sweet in your comments on my reveal post of the daybed and the video post explaining the major parts of the build…thank you!
For those of you who might pick up doors you have lying around and build them into a daybed, […]

Driftwood Art and the Writing Room

By |July 12th, 2010|

So, even though it’s not finished, we are beginning to accessorize and actually “pretty it” now, so I’ll happily show you a couple of now pics….because they’re certainly not “after” pics.See what I mean?  I’m beginning to get some accessories, but far from finished.  But…I don’t want to apologize for its sparseness too much, because […]

Some Details on the Daybed

By |July 9th, 2010|

Without further lead-in, here is some info on the construction of the daybed…Let’s let this post serve as a forum for questions…what else do you want to know about the construction?  Matt was going to write up some general plans, but if you have a specific question, shoot.**if you head to my facebook page today, […]

Daybed is Done–Well, I Think So

By |July 7th, 2010|

I’m tired.
And I have missed you guys!!  I know I’ve been around, but I have been so busy these last couple of weeks, I have barely gotten to read a few posts and certainly only write a couple.
I’ve been painting a ton (post on that to come later today or tomorrow) for one client that […]

Something like a Daybed

By |July 3rd, 2010|

That we were going to turn into a daybed?Well, our attic reno took way longer than we planned (imagine that), and now that it’s finished, we are traveling so much we can’t stay home to finish our last few projects. And I promise, it’s not going to be 3 different colors. And actually, this was taken […]
