We survived the week.

This was week number 1 of writing a book.  I can tell already that this will require a learning curve.  It’ll be like opening the shop, a major presence in our schedule and a constant source of to-do’s.

Matt was out of town all week for work, so that probably added to my awkwardness.  Oh, and we started school.

People lately have really been picking my brain as to how we fit things in, how we approach our schedule, and well, just how in the world we get it all done.  Well, y’all know I will simply tell you we don’t–that we don’t get it all done, that we choose our normal and that works for us.  Maybe I should write a post about what we don’t do, and that will give a little understanding as to how our schedule works.

Now that I’ve announced I’m writing a book, I can tell you more details about the process as we go.  I’ll tell you more about how it happened soon, but for now I can tell you that it will be a book that’s just like this blog–75ish simple easy projects (no major skill set required!) that can be completed in an afternoon or less…with a some writing from yours truly thrown in.

Do you see now why I’m panicked a bit?  75ish projects…before this year ends.  Whoa.  Plus normal life, writing the blog, shop stuff, & homeschooling.

The good thing is I’m learning all about letting go…we are hiring a couple more folks to help at the shop/online store/etc., and I’ll lessen my time there a bit these next several months.

And yes, we started school this week–1st grade & pre-K.

But you know what, even with Matt gone, we took it one day at a time, and got it done (Thank you, Lord!!).  While I haven’t photographed them all yet, I completed 5 projects this week, and wrote about a few, wrote the preface & some project intro’s, shopped for supplies for projects, got school done daily, and I even stuck to a semi-healthy diet & made my 3 workouts with my amazing trainer…who is teaching me so much about balance and give and take…you will be meeting her soon.

So, yes, I’ll take some extra prayer for wisdom on knowing when to work and when to stop, for peace within, & an extra dose of productivity…but I can tell already, it’s going to be just fine.

Thank God it’s not in my hands…at all.

P.S. A little birdie told me that we’re hosting a giveaway on Facebook today, so be sure to head that way if you don’t follow us already!
