So the floor came in…
And yes, the cart is staying.
We originally thought we’d be pulling up the linoleum to expose the hardwood floors, but turns out, there were 3 types of floors under there.
Yikes.
Plan B, install durable laminate.
We’re going with Lumber Liquidators Dunes Bay Driftwood. I first saw it in my cousin’s house–and I absolutely love it. It has a bit more gray in it than the picture shows, and I cannot wait to lay it this next week!
Did you catch the peek of that wall???
Love the wall! That flooring is going to look great too.
So exciting! Everything looks beautiful already :O
The flooring is awesome! That wall….THAT WALL!!! What a beauty! I cannot wait to see it completed. Enjoy every minute of it! Blessings! P.S. Thanks so much for including all of us on your special journey.
Oh, that’s lovely. The laminate will wear so much better than hardwood – and the driftwood looks like a lovely old wood floor. It’s a win-win.
Wow! I am so impressed and excited to be watching your adventure unfold. I look forward to making a day trip down to T-roy to see it all in person. I love your flooring choice! I think I need that look in my lake cabin 😉
On one of your posts you listed your “to do” list and mentioned buying desktops for check out. Seriously look at buying iPads and using Intuit or Square card readers. I have read their fees are less and I have seen them used in so many businesses and they seem like a great alternative. Just something to consider.
Love your posts and am looking forward to the final product (store finished). Maybe someday I can come visit. I think we share a very similar faith. Would love to meet you in person.
This is so exciting! I have ideas rolling around in my head for a little getaway next fall with my husband and I am seriously thinking that this new store will be one of our destination points. I love watching this unfold for you!
Shaunna I want that wall in my living room, it is worth every penny of rent you’re paying. And that floor will make it super yummy!
After having owned my own shop with both a business partner and without. I finally decided to close shop. Three small children, one year old, three year old and a 5 year old. Too much to do on my own. I just can’t imagine how you are doing all of this AND homeschooling. I wish you all the best of luck.
I am so inspired by seeing everything that God is doing in your life! So awesome!!! Praying for you!!!
Looking really beautiful! That wall paired with those floors!? Sighhhhh 🙂 love it
LOVE:)

I have an old building just waiting on it’s redo. So I am watching with intense interest as you pull this all together. I’m hoping for a place I can copy to ease all the decision agony.
Bliss
Ahhhh the wall! Beauty for sure! The floors will be great and most durable. I really enjoy your post and seeing your darling family!
Smiles, alice
Oh Shaunna! I’m so excited for you. Like. SO. Excited. I have been reading your updates, but haven’t had two seconds to comment until now. I love your shop so far – I can just see it all finished. I wish I lived closer and could come visit all the time. LOVE and HUGS, friend.
xo,
Shannon
We are having a renovation as well and is looking for an idea for the walls and the floor. Mind if copy your idea of the wall? it just looks so nice. Thanks

LOVE that brick wall! And I’m off to check out the flooring — thanks for the link!
I really like the wood grain you chose, it looks stylish and fresh. I installed cherry laminate floors in my old house a few years back. They were great, they are super easy to clean and there is hardly any up keep on them. Enjoy yours!
I’m jealous! That’s the one I wanted to put in my son’s room but it’s bit pricier than I wanted to spend. Luckily it’s only 90sq so maybe I should just splurge on the nicer flooring.
