You guys were so cool about the last 25 Things, I decided I would keep them coming….
1. Now Matt is leaving tags lying around. From all the coats from last week.
2. I love that song by Pink…”raise your glass.” Why? Is that weird?
3. Filmmakers: Can we release a really good romantic comedy/drama? Like The Holiday or Love, Actually? I can’t take another (supposed to be) funny, sweet movie about depressing things (a.k.a. One Day).
4. I bought a jar of Biscoff spread this week. Yep, like the airplane cookies. Who knew that existed???
5. I caught Matt in the kitchen eating the Biscoff spread by the tablespoonfuls.
6. I was jealous.
7. I love that I follow Grayson’s teacher on Pinterest–her outfits are as cute in real life as her inspiration boards.
8. I could have sworn that there was a gas leak in our house today. Matt says it’s all the caffeine.
9. A healthy amount of caffeine is an acceptable vice, in my opinion.
10. Who knows how many times Ava will get strep throat this year? It may be physically a part of her of her gene makeup–strep throat DNA.
11. I’m trying to write my Word of the Year post right now…and I’m too torn between two words. Does that mean my word should be INDECISIVE?
12. Lance is coming home this weekend. I think he’s really coming home to scout out for the anti-perfectlyimperfectblog.com. Watch out, little brother. I’m watching you.
13. Grayson’s new favorite is to pretend he’s clawman. Who’s that? Dunno. I know, kinda scary.
14. Are you as confused as I am as to what year it is?
15. I’m kinda over the paint color in my laundry room. Surprise, surprise.
16. Wondering how many people would come to a yard sale if I had one in Montgomery, Al??
17. I still haven’t written a real-live book. I realize it’s only been a week, but come on, slacker.
18. My nose is cold in my house right now. I’m in my pi’s. It’s been a non-stop workday & I’m too engrossed to turn on the heat. Think I’ll do this every week or two so I have an excuse to sit down.
19. Except it hurts to sit down. Thank you, trainer C.C.
20. I downloaded this Beth Moore book to my iPhone…love the book, but the voice is kinda too sultry for me….kinda weird if you ask me.
21. Sometimes (after I’ve had too much coffee) I kind of broadway snap & dance around the house singing “Rolling in the Deep.”
22. You don’t do that?!?
23. I’m doing it right now.
24. I wonder if I’ll lose readers over these posts.
25. Unless…you’re as random as I am?
well you won’t lose me as a reader over the 25 things – As much as I love a good redo, I think its nice to see a non-decor post every so often pop up in my reader. And these crack me up. Short and sweet and witty and funny. thanks for the smile.
You make me laugh 🙂 Fun reading your 25 things!
Lose readers? I don’t think so!! This is refreshing to read your list. Sometimes, I want to read something different than the usual decor posts. Yesterday, I found myself Googling “Why am I fascinated with Hoarders?” Those shows keep me in check!!! Hugs, Jan
I would LOVE to come to a yard sale in Montgomery!
Love your post…and yes I would drive an hour and 20 min. to the “Gump” to your yard sale….ROAD TRIP!!
Hehe, you crack me up! Love the random posts! I’m totally the same way & my mind never stops jumping around from one topic to another.
You won’t loose me. I too do the Rollin’ in the Deep dance late at night when the kids are asleep. I hope no one is watching through the windows because that would embarrassing and creepy. Love your stuff.
Love your funny random thoughts! I have to agree with #9. A healthy amount of caffeine is an acceptable vice, in my opinion.
You’re not alone and I love these posts–I “won” the title of “most random” in high school so I can totally relate…
Well, I personally am not crazy about these posts but it is your blog and you will love to come back and read it one day. 🙂
If you stop giving your child antibiotics for strep throat and get the kid on an aggressive probiotic therapy (available in the cold section of reputable health food stores), the kid’s strep throat incidences will become rarer and rarer. I didn’t believe it myself until we tried it on our three. They went from having strep all winter every year to having it rarely, if ever. Antibiotics are prescribed to protect the doctor from medical malpractice, not to cure strep. They have little, if any, effect on strep throat. They have been shown to shorten symptoms by about 8 hours, in the best cases. In the meantime, they destroy your child’s immune system by killing all of the good bacteria in your child’s intestinal tract. Try it out. Thank me later.
Hey Bill, thanks for your input. We actually see a holistic & medical doctor, so the kids are on probiotics regularly. Thank you for reading and for sharing!
🙂

I LOVE these posts! Would you mind if I did something similar on my blog?
Oh and the movie The Holiday is my FAVORITE! My hubby thinks I’m crazy, I watch it a lot.
I sing EVERYTHING!! So much so, now my 2 1/2 year old does it, like she sang “Mommy, can I have an apple please”. LOL I hope I don’t make her to weird. I just weaned my son and the thing I am the most excited about, no caffeine restrictions. Hooray!! And one more thing. I wish I lived close enough to come to a garage sale at your house, but maybe it is good for you because I would creep around and look in all your windows to see your beautiful house in person. 😉 I love these lists, this should be a weekly or monthly thing.
Haha@ We all need a little random in our lives every once in a while. Also, I now want to buy some Biscoff and try a spoonfull!
HI Shaunna~ Loved the list ..Did I see you on Nate ??
I love Raise Your Glass. I also love the Glee version. That means I’m a choir nerd and a dirty little freak…I guess… ;}
ummmm……Are you saying these are random thoughts??? I’m a little worried cuz I followed along just fine!!! 🙂 Maybe when others tell me I’m random – I should believe them???!!! Love your site tons!!! 🙂
I live in Ca. I would FLY to your piece of the world for your yard sale. Except that might get creepy. So, instead I will mourn the loss of attending an incredibly fun yard sale, I’m sure.
Oh dear girl! You are a riot! And I’m so with you on the movie thing!!!!!
xo,
Shannon
I loved reading this post! It is nice to know that my brain isn’t the only one that thinks like this. HA-HA!! Thank you for making me feel at home.
I love these posts! They crack me up. Thanks for the smile!
Love. Every. One.
Randomocity is the spice of life!

Random is refreshing….Sometimes I think about the things I do when no one is looking, and that can he hideous, terrifying and some may not even be legal..but mostly if anyone saw me it would be funny..So feel free to be random as often as you need to..It’s good for the soul..
Your posts make me feel like shouting, “YES, I’M RANDOM AND I’M PROUD OF IT!” My young adult children are constantly looking at me as if I had three heads. I’ll say something and they say, “Mom, you are SO random.” They should be proud of me thinking outside the lines, don’t you think?
I loved your random thoughts! And, I would love to drive in from Millbrook to a yard sale!! 🙂
*high five* for RaNdomNeSs! 🙂 love it! I’m not going anywhere!
(Colleen)@ PaRtY of 5!
p.s. I have no clue what “biscoff” is- feel like I’m completely missing out on this!?? I guess I don’t get out much! {what’s this airplane business you speak of? last one I went on was like 6 years ago! lol}
I am also very random, so I love your posts! First of all, I love those Biscoff cookies, so where in the world did you find the spread? Also, I agree about the movies. Saw them all, and I do love The Holiday and Love Actually! I live too far for the garage sale, but if I lived closer, I would certainly pop over.
Girl, I say keep these posts coming. It is a nice diversion, and it makes me feel more normal about my randomness 🙂
I love Pink’s song “Raise your glass” but Glee has a better version sung by I think they are called The Warblers. Check it out! Love your blog!
I’m going to have to google Biscoff now…
Love these posts!!! Can’t wait for Lance to make a post 😉

Funny. I just moved over on the large couch so my tiny kitty could have more room. I just gave away paying work. My stupid Droid is blinking the green light which normally would indicate that there’s something there I need to look at. Only I can’t find anything. Which is freaking me out a little because my beloved in traveling to Calgary today and I’m afraid I’ll miss his call/text. Oh, and they found a man in the shed of the abandoned house next to mine Friday morning. And now I’m freaked out to be home alone. There. How’s that for some randomness? 🙂
Ok first of all I want to say I’ve loved all of your posts and love your faith and skills and randomness. Hope you don’t mind, but I just have to say something about “Love,Actually”. That is I actually don’t get why people love it. Sweet and romantic-what??!!! It’s got so much pornography and bad language in it that my husband and I had to fast forward most of the movie. More like Lust,Actually if you ask me. The only story remotely sweet was the guy and the Portugese girl he proposed to. “Notebook”-now that’s romantic movie.
Know what you mean, Gina. That’s the part I liked too. 🙂
Shawna, Love your posts. Just wanted to share a bit about the biscuits. Biscoff cookies and spreads are a specialty in Belgium and the Netherlands called Speculoos. (Biscoff is just the brand name they’ve been given here.) The cookies taste a little like gingerbread but have a much more addictive quality. They are typically offered with a cup of coffee or tea. The spread is made from ground up cookies and has the consistency of peanut butter but the flavor is incredible. If we are lucky, someone will eventually sell Speculoos ice cream here in the U.S.. It is the best! If you want to read more, here is an interesting article.
