Oh, I love Christmas.
There’s no doubt about it. It is my favorite time of the year for sooo many reasons.
Bing Crosby, Sarah’s Wintersong album, Starbucks Christmas blend.
The sparkly decorations, the scent of pine and cinnamon in the air, footed Christmas pajamas on my babies.
Oh how I love footed Christmas pj’s.
There’s 1.1 million more reasons why I love the season, and hanging with my family is certainly number one.
But I don’t mind the decorating, either.
🙂
Whether I’m having fun with the mantel or the entry, or the new dining room bookcases, Christmas decorating has me jazzed this year!
In the spirit (and need) of saving, we’re trying not to buy anything new this year and decorate with what we have.
Which is plenty…
And thanks to our Christmas dejunkification, it’s all ready to go in boxes we can actually see in.
Now if someone could kindly help me find our Elf on the Shelf.
His name is Pogo and he stands about 9 inches tall, 12 from hat tip to toes.
Send him my way if you see him.
😉
Where did you get that 3 tiered onion/potato basket in the kitchen?
Hey Samantha, I used to be a willow house consultant back when it was Southern Living at HOME, and had gotten it there. Not sure if it’s still in the catalog, but I hope that helps!!

Saw something very similar to that at Pier 1 recently.
haha I need to do some SERIOUS christmas dejunktification. Thanksgiving nearly killed us, and we haven’t even started yet. BOOOOO. our EOTS is named Jindy. RANDOM! He will be making his appearance soon, and I can’t wait! Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
ps apparently I put .com in the end of my website at some point. it’s .net and its scary when you click on my name. sorry about that. I can’t fix prior comment but have adjusted this one. good story.
lol, you’re cracking me up, friend. We did have a good holiday! hope you guys did too!!

Hey, Shaunna, it is looking beautiful, my friend!! I am loving seeing what everyone is up to this year. Merry Christmas decorating, have fun!
It’s looking so pretty already! I love your blue dresser display! Gorgeous & sparkly!
I have barely scratched the surface decorating this weekend. Must get moving. As for the Elf? I think there’s an ‘app’ for that.
Love the photos and your style!!! You’ve inspired me to get going…those bins need to come out of the basement 🙂
LOVE that blue/green dresser. LOVE i say ; )
Hi Shaunna! Love the photo of the dejunkification lol. I nearly had a melt down trying to find our elf this year as well. He was an after thought when packing up christmas last year and then we moved so I searched high and low. Finally when I decided I would have to buy another one I found him in the garage, phew. I love the name Pogo, how cute. The kids named ours Mr Gribbles. Don’t ask me, I just raise them.
You home is beautiful now and always!
Everything looks gorgeous!
I have got to dejunkify this year. Had planned to when I put stuff away after last Christmas but then I was so ready to have it put away I didn’t take the time to organize. I’m dreading bringing it all out! Many, many, many boxes down 2 floors….always looks like a bomb went off and the family usually scatters until it’s all done. I need an Elf to help me!!
OMg are those your xmas photo’s from last year or this year!!!??? I hope last year b/c if your house is looking that good today…..before December I am going to cry!!!! OMG my house is disaster area with xmas crapola everywhere!
The only new purchase this year was to replace the tree lights that had somehow stopped working while hanging out in the attic. Love all of your beautiful decorating ideas..the mantle looks fantastic. I do not have a mantle..long story…so I have the challenge of decorating our fireplace wall for Christmas…Merry Christmas!
it all looks so beautiful!
wintersong is my fave album this time of year, too. i just purchased winter songs which is an album with lots of mellow female artists and is very good, too.
enjoy the season!
It is looking lovely as always! I must say it is comforting to know that all my blogs I could only aspire to be like are buried in boxes of Christmas decor too today:) I swear your house always looks perfect. I am quickly gaining on it. I hope you’ll stop by The Corson Cottage and link up to our Home for the Holidays party every Friday in December. Carrie
Your decorations are amazing! I pinned your mantle pic to my Pinterest board – it’s is so beautiful. Merry Christmas!!
Oh that dresser is my favorite colour it is just gorgeous, and your baskets in the kitchen are adorable. I need some.
I love footsie pj’s too!!! Always have…cozy!!!
Shaunna! What a beautiful mantel! I love it. I’m not at home because hubby and I have been helping his parents out after FIL had major surgery, so it’s hard to get in the spirit. When I get home this weekend, I’m going to gaze at your mantle for about an hour and get motivated to start decorating my house for Christmas. Thanks for your inspiration!
Hi Shaunna! Love what you’ve done so far. Can’t wait to see the rest of your Christmas decor. Oh that’s so funny, we moved last year and I’m still trying to remember where I hid our Elf, Jingle;)
where did you get your mercury glass cake stand? love it! love it all!
Hey Tammy! My sweet mom in law got it for me from Ballard’s last year!

I love the entryway decor! Looks beautiful. Sorry about Pogo. Hope he comes home soon!
Thanks for sharing your first photo. You gave me an idea on how to decorate service platters! I think it will also look awesome if I add some more sparkle with eye-catching glass ornaments created talented Russian artists. I’d like to add glass white dove to put a touch of life. 🙂
