I’ve been painting like mad.  Mad, I tell you.

I have worked on a piece or two of furniture everyday, and over the last week, began pulling together some smaller repurposed finds for the vault space.

I never knew my paintbrush would last so long.  Or that I could fall in love with chalk paint even more.

I’ve had this french provencal mirror for a while now, and I finally became inspired to paint it.  I painted the base coat in Louis Blue Chalk Paint, then dry brushed the top with Old Ochre Chalk Paint.  I then waxed with a dark and clear coat.

I love blue and bits of gold peeking through.  I loved the whole mirror…it sold the first day I took it to the shop.  🙂

I couldn’t have a space without typography or signs….I made this one out of an old piece of MDF we had laying around in the garage and painted it with Old White and Aubusson Blue.  I’ll show you the process soon.

I’m also really into repurposing vintage trays lately…this one I painted and stamped with French script.

It’s sort of been a blast to pull together old things to repurpose into something current and beautiful (to me, anyway).
