Along with all the site work I told you about yesterday, it’s time to get started on some client projects and projects around the house.
Perfectly Imperfect (the restoration side) has become strictly client pieces, for the most part.  It just sort of morphed, and honestly, it’s so much fun to choose pieces with/for a client and work with them to create a look that they’re in love with.  Plus, I sometimes get to collaborate on the design of the room…and that’s seriously fun.
I do still pick up the occasional pieces, whether for their beauty or their price.
I grabbed this antique Jenny Lind a few weeks ago,

this adorable children’s rocker (that I’m highly considering keeping for Ava),

and this great little nightstand.  I am seeing it a beachy two-tone gray/blue and white, with some vintage inspired cup pulls.  I’m hoping to get this one started this week.

There’s some smaller projects in the works, like removing the crackle from my cousin’s coat rack,

and converting this to a candle-lier.

I’m really itching to paint that door and my mom has commissioned me to refinish her dining table….yay!  It will be so much fun to work with her.
But the thing I can’t get out of my mind?

Check out the focus of this picture (Suzanne Kasler’s Inspired Interiors I got for Christmas)….White.

I’m all but begging Matt to let me paint the living, dining, kitchen, and hallway white.  A soft, gray-white, but white all the same.  Our whole downstairs is wide open, and I’ve been itching for more of a blank slate down here.
I’m drawn to cooler colors for the moment, warming it up with wood tones and fabrics rather than creams/browns in our wall color.
But the beauty of white?
When I’m good and ready, we can always throw some more beige pillows on the couch.
Can you help me convince him?
Please???
🙂
