I’ve admitted I’m ecclectic.
The same me that loves beadboard and beat up wood, is the same me that loves silver-leafed frames and fine french lines.
So it’s only natural that I stay constantly confused.
🙂
But…I’m learning to embrace that, and in doing so, beginning to feel like this house is my home. It’s why I’ll put a late 1800’s French chair in a room with a salvaged trellis headboard.
Because of my eclectic tastes, it now seems quite reasonable for me to decorate my mantel three ways for Christmas.
Here’s some inspiration for the “Winter Wonderland” theme:

There’s an underlying theme amongst all these beautiful photos…white, metallics, candles, texture, and a little greenery.
I’ll recreate the elements of these inspiration mantels using items I already own, flea market finds, and a few extras from Hobby Lobby.
I’m actually looking at the first layer of the mantelscape right now…and I must say, I’m getting excited.
I mean, Christmas, my favorite holiday?
Three ways?
Fabulous.
🙂
Wonderful inspiration Shaunna and you made me feel better about my taste being all over the place. I guess that's what makes a house a home.
My taste is also all over the place… I just put things together that make me happy, and somehow they all just work together…
Yes!!!! I'm so excited to see that you'll be leaning this way, for Christmas :)
I felt like I was reading my words … I am so everywhere with my taste. Here's how I do it for Christmas … two rooms are winter white and icy. The rest of the house — where the men hang out — rustic and durable chic!
Lovely post and gorgeous images. I really love the bits of foliage that are thrown in to add some natural elements and texture. I think I might go foraging right now and find some greenery!
I am stumped as how to do my mantle, so I am looking forward to seeing what you do. I love so many styles, too. I love white, that's for certain.
These are sooooooo beautiful! Awesome inspiration! I wish I still had a fireplace right about now <3
Love all the photos! I am like you, I love a bit of everything! Can't wait to see what you do!
My decorating is all over the place too… And it makes me so happy that so many others are doing the same thing. I love all the inspiration photos. Can't wait to see what you do!
Hope you'll link up to my Mantel party on the 29th! :-)
